Mary Finlayson is a contemporary artist whose paintings and mosaics explore the relationship between color, pattern, objects, and the spaces we inhabit. Best known for her vivid interiors and still lifes, Finlayson creates compositions filled with flowers, furniture, textiles, artwork, and personal objects. Perspective shifts, patterns overlap, and familiar forms are flattened into bold areas of color.

Rather than documenting a room exactly as it appears, Finlayson is interested in capturing its emotional presence—the memories held by objects, the personality of a space, and the energy created by everything within it.

Her distinctive visual language is informed by a background in silkscreen, lithography, and painting.
